I went 5-1 (should of been 6-0 but I got mega-mana-screwed) Here's the version I played: 14 mountain 3 island 3 undiscovered paradise 2 sheltered valley (a MUST have...trust me...this thing is just phenominal) 4 impulse (the afterburners in the deck...) 2 fog elemental (I went lighter...I'll explain below) 2 frenetic efreet (earned a good place in this deck) 2 thunderbolt (was decent) 2 hammers (I think I only recurred it once...might replace) 3 fireblast (made room for more critters) 4 incinerate (of course) 1 death spark (not so good...it would of saved me except my own stupidity blew it) 2 lava dawgs (great...even better with sheltered valley) 2 dwarven miners (another great card that killed glaciers, quicksands, outposts) 3 orcish artillery (awesome....I'll explain later) 3 sandstalker (was okay...great threat card) 4 goblin vandals (LOVED EM! Gave many a player headaches) 4 ironclaw orcs (grunts...) side 2 phyrexian furnace (buried alive rocks down here...thanks Baxter!) 2 sleight of mind (never saw or used it) 2 pyrokinesis (never saw or used it) 3 pillage (never saw or used it) 3 pyroblast (helped tremendously....damn stasis boiz showed up) 3 anarchy (another must....life saver...."thank god I drew it" card) Here we go....at first from my meta-game analysis, critters were everywhere...alot of cheese/counterburns...5 color green varients, and some squandered stasis boiz...no black anywhere to be found (where did the buried alives go?) First Round - Don't know his name but Squandered Stasis Squandered, Stasis, Upteen counterspells, Equipose, Elvish Spirit Guides, Enlightened Tutors and Mines (you know the drill) 1st game he gets his lock, then I start to get him back (vandals LOVE mines!) and I think I can break the lock but he slaps equipose down and I concede. Out go the hammers, death spark, in with the pyroblasts (I was tempted to add the pillages/anarchys but I felt speed was the way to win) 2nd game - I come out like gangbusters with artillery, vandals, ironclaw and sandstalker...I finish him with incinerate/fireblast. 3rd game he slaps a 3rd turn stasis (no equipose however) but he can't pull a squandered. But he keeps drawing land like for 12 turns in a row...now he's got a TON of mana...and I have brought him down to around 14 life. I know he's got another stasis and counterback up...finally he has to let the lock go...I cast a sandstalker, attack with that and ironclaw and vandal he takes it and then I know he's got no counters, incinerate/fireblast takes him out! 1-0 matches....2-1 in games Round 2 - Don't know his name either...R/U heavy heat, low counters, aether flash This match took all but 10 minutes. I thin khis deck was converted from a t1 or something because it was awful. I beat him down two games straight...it was not even close. It had Hordes even...I did the ever popular ping with orc, incinerate combo. Ugly... 2-0 matches....4-1 in games Round 3 - Again...I must be anti-social...I don't know who he is...G/W Wurmgeddon Nice deck...Fallow/Harvest Wurms, Tinder Walls, Rogue Elephants, Elves, STP, Armageddon and alot of love. Pretty cool deck looks similar to the one you have on your page...have to give it a try, however he was using the walls for colorless mana....what a waste...could of block, killed my sandstalkers, etc. 1st Game - I love this...1st turn elf, 2nd turn elephant, I bolt the elephant, cast orc, cast artillery, cast viashino, kill elf...he giant growths his wall....I try not to laugh. I proceed to beat him senseless. 2nd Game - This is heaven...fifth turn he armageddons...double fireblast in response...the crowd winces at it. I recover fast but he lays the COP: Red...doh! I forgot to sideboard in the anarchy. This is gonna suck. I keep casting critters...he has no WOG's....It's a race...I keep hitting him for one with 2 vandals, a recasting sandstalker and an orc. I cast a fog elemental....attack with all...he taps out to COP all but slo mo...thunderbolt, incinerate take the rest. 3-0 matches....6-1 in games 4th round - I think John Luo (I think I may be wrong...I know it's John) What he played, I have no idea...Straw Golem, Black Knights, Fallen Askari
