Subject: [DECK] GWStompy Date: Fri, 31 Oct 1997 16:44:01 +0100 From: Dirk Herzog Hi magicians, this is the Post Tempest version of Stompy I'd like to take to a tourney Nov 8/9. As a Stompy derivate it easily passes Len's 4-7 turn test and it really rolls on. I added White for some Abeyance, Armageddon and Honorable Passages (Abeyance for Combo decks (cast Abeyance in response to the ProsBloom Prosperity will give you that crucial turn), Honorable Passage for that 4th turn Furnaceblast and Armageddon as a nice Worb variant (basically because I don't get the 4th Orb) Lands 14 Forest 3 Brushland 3 UParadise (two more than Stompy, because of the White) Critters 4 Llanowar Elves 4 Quirion Ranger (work great with Armageddon) 4 Rogue Elephant (I could drop two forests if I'd take these out ?) 4 Muscle Sliver 3 Whirling Dervish 2 Harvest Wurm (I'd replace these with 4/4 discard land Wurms 3 Jolraels Centaur 2 Lhurgoyf Spells 3 Giant Growth 2 Elvish Fury 1 Overrun 1 Nature's Resurgence 1 Armageddon 1 Abeyance 2 Honorable Passage Artifacts 3 Winter Orb 60 cards Sideboard 2 Abeyance 3 Emerald Charm 2 Tranquil Domain 2 Hurricane 3 Uktabi Orang Utan 1 Whirling Dervish 2 River Boa I don't think I have to explain the way the deck is played (drop some! creatures, wait till opponent has handled them drop the next and if this isn't enough you're in a problem). Some Mind Game ethics: Does anybody think playing with Portal lands and Portal cards to make the player think I don't know what to do (hey I could even use offense and defence) is unethical? Thanks in advance Dirk
