Subject: T2 (Oath of resources) Date: Tues Jul, 29, 1998, 1:00pm CA time From: Philip Springer To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Oath of resources (Oath Stasis) by Phil Springer Hi kiddies, I used to play squandered stasis when alliences was in type 2 (when force of will was in, it was god) but now I came up with a way to abuse stasis in type two. Here go's The Lock 4* stasis 4* howling mine 1* equipose 3* squandered resources Tutor 1x enlighten tutor 4x impulse (of course) 2x vamp tutor Life gain/ creature deck spank 4x oath of druids 3x spike feeder 1x arch angle ("does not tap to attack", 4 turns you die) Counter/ utility 2x gaes blessing 4x counterspell 2x forbid 3x power sink (so strong in stasis) Land (21) 4x city of Brass 4x gemstone mine 1x reflecting pool 10x islands 1x adacar wastes 1x underground river This is the strongest way I have ever played stasis. Here is the board: 3x pyroblast (so versatial because you can get rid of your stasis) plus tradewind, counter, lobotomy, ect. 2x phrexian furnace 1x lobotomy 1x sacred ground 1x hydroblast 1x arua of silence (forsaken wastes) 1x shattering pulse 1x disenchant (forsaken wastes) 1x gae's blessing 1x jesters cap 2x dissipate (survial decks with ukaby & cloudchaser recursion) Hope everyone enjoys the deck and I will post how it does in type 2 environment after playtesting it in tourneys. All I notice now is it successfully locks just about any deck playing standard, but after sideboarding it has a hard time dealing with tranquil D, pyroblast, lobotomy, jesters cap, and furnace. Mad Props to the Magic Dojo! Phil Springer (Team rainbowtech)
