Subject: 3c Pit/ridder deck Date: Sat, 06 Jun 98 08:40:56 PDT From: "Kohler" To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Here is deck I've been working on for a little while but still needs a little tweaking. 4 bottomless pit 4 megrim 4 funeral charm 4 abyssal specter 2 extinctions 4 tradeiwnd ridder 4 wall of tears 4 man o war 4 birds of paradise 4 uktabi orangutan 3 reflecting pool 3 gemstone mine 2 citys of brass 3 island 4 forest 7 swamp The deck uses the tradewind pit combo so that it can bounce any permanent and then have it be discarded to the pit. This works very well but one thing that has been giving it a lot of trouble is untargetable creatures, crystalline sliver in particular poses a major problem for it in a sliver deck. The extinctions and wall of tears should be able to deal with that. The deck doesn't need the pit or the tradewind to win or achieve a lock. Abyssal spectar and a trade wind will work. Or a wall of tears and a bottomless pit. The deck can easly survive with out the optimum lock. It can also be very agrisive if you have the right cards and chose to play it that way. An abyssal and a megrim can be lethal with out a lock. The man o wars and orangutans help out for the kill also. There a few other cards that would work in the deck but I'm not sure if I should play or not. These include cursed scroll, ensnaring bridge, scalding tongs/paupers cage, and awakening. Any comments, suggestions or criticisms would be greatly appreciated. Please e-mail me at kohler@bcn.net. Thanx! Josh
