Subject: T2 tradewind/geddon Date: Sun, 10 May 98 16:20:38 PDT From: "Kohler" To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Here is my tradewind/geddon deck. I've played it against sligh, gypsy pox (cursed scroll, bootomless pit, ensnaring bridge, paupers cage, abysal gate keeper), and 4cb. It hasn't lost a game yet. I'm sure it still needs a lot of work though. Any coments, criticsms, or suggestions would be great. 4 counter spell 3 mana leak 2 dissapate 4 tradewind ridder 3 mana o war 4 impulse 4 birds of paradise 4 wall of blossoms 3 uktabi orangutan 2 maro 2 awakening - This version of the deck was ment to be a test version; Iwas testing it out to see if I should play awakening or armeggedon. Both worked great so I left the deck the way it was. 3 armeggedon 3 reflecting pool 3 gemstone mine 3 city of brass 2 undiscovered paradise (needs 1-2 more but I haven't gotten them yet) 2 quicksand (the deck doesn't really need them with the wall of blossoms and tradewinds, but they're uncounterable so I play them anyways) 6 island 4 forest The deck works amazingly well. 1st turn birds, 2nd turn wall of blossoms, 3rd turn tradewind, 4th turn geddon; you have a 4th turn lock. You can't count on this hand, and you have to watch out for counterspells, but for a control deck it can be suprisingly fast. Good combos are tradewind lock, and then you can bounce and replay wall of blossoms or oragutans for either card advantage or to take out cursed scrolls and what not. The awakenings take care of any winter orb decks, and the deck will consistinly wreck sligh. The hardest decks to play againt will be other control decks because you have to deal with other control decks. Send any comments, suggestions, and/or criticisms to kohler@bcn.net or you can post them on the dojo. Thanx! Josh Kohler
