Subject: TurboZvi - The Key to Speed Date: Tue, 28 Aug 1956 01:35:21 +0000 From: minion To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Dear Frank, When I first saw the TurboZvi deck I had mixed emotions. I thought wow another combo deck, and it even uses dream halls. But, how could it be faster than prospbloom. Well, it isn't, but after playtesting my own version I realized it as much more versatile for one reason. It's blue, allowing you to devote to a counterspell base, and scare your opponent into playing cards they wouldn'y play against a non-blue deck. Just the aspect of playing first turn island, second turn island makes your opponent think your playing a counter deck. When in fact, you surprise them a few turns later and use dream halls, of all cards, to kill them. When I first playtested it though I found the inspiration kill wasn't durable enough. So, I immediately went to the prospbloom kill. I added 1 cadaverous bloom, which can be casted with gaia's blessing, and the kill card : drain life. Here is the version I consider the most versatile, and still very quick. The other major change I believe much increases the decks speed is the removal of lotus petals, and the addition of mana vault. 4 Dream Halls 4 Intuition 4 Mana Vaults (The key to the decks speed) 4 Impulses 4 Counterspells 4 Ancestral Memories 4 Meditates 3 Sifts 3 Gaia's Blessing 1 Cadaverous Bloom 1 Drain Life 4 Mana Severance 4 Syvenulite Temples 16 Islands Ryan Golden minion@icanect.net (This deck may very well change type 2 for a while)
