Life Counter Tech [Humor]


Hello all Magic Dojo readers!

Today I am going to tell you about a revolution in life counters. Tired
of having dice flip out on you? Tired of disputing your pen-and-paper
notes which don't compare? With this technology you will never have to
worry again. The only problem is I don't know where to find these.

It all started back in '95. When I started playing Magic I noticed a
device I picked up a year ago at my grandpa's house while my family was
cleaning it out. It was a counter taken out of a pool table. Upon seeing
it I had asked if I could have it and they said sure. After I began
playing Magic in '95 I found the device in my closet and realized it
would be a great Magic life counter. (See image at the top of the page)

This baby is great. It shows both players' life totals in full view of
both players so there is never a dispute. Changing the digits is as
easy as rotating the knob. It clicks into place so it never
'accidentally' changes like dice seem to do. It goes from zero to 99,
and best of all, it is Year 2000 compliant! (Well it is not year
10,000 compliant but who cares.)

Whenever I go to a tourney I always get a cheer from people who admire
the thing. At Neutral Ground NYC I always seem to attract some
attention from this device. If I have met you at NG:NYC please drop
me a line letting me know you have read this!

Upon seeing the success of this counter I would like to know if there
is a way WotC can manufacture these. It is a great item and would be
a great hit for everyone!
