This really isn't so much of a tournament report as a tournament summary, and congratulations. Last Saturday I head judged the Connecticut State Championships. With an attendance of _93_ players I expect the tournament to have one of the highest turnouts for a State Championship when all is said and done. Len Blado and the rest of the Dragon's Lair (Hartford) crew did an AWESOME job promoting the event and running it. These guys should have a great future running Magic tournaments. The level 2 (lenient) rules enforcement used for the event was perfect, and quite a few players remarked that they enjoyed the "casual yet serious, fun but competitive" atmosphere at the tournament. One particular thing that I noticed, and was quite pleased with, was the level of sportsmanship. Almost every match (during the final 8 every match) ended with a "Good Match" and a handshake. The state of Connecticut is a great place to play Magic.
