I will reiterate my words here so that I am CRYSTAL clear. "The LV punks that were obnoxious to Alan and me when we visited their store..." The first thing that I would like to say is that I am sorry if I offended the wrong people. The right people should know who they are. If you were not one of the people at the store that were laughing at Alan playing in the final round of the tournament then I am not making reference to you. When I say "LV punks" I am referring to a distinct group of people, and not just "everyone who lives in LV and plays MTG." I actually liked playing against the people there that I did, even if I may not have said so when I was there. Here is how the final match of the tournament went, with Alan (Comer) playing against someone from LV who's name I can't remember. (Sorry) Alan draws a card. The group of "LV punks" laughs loudly and obnoxiously. Alan plays a card. More Laughter. He finishes his turn. More laughter. Alan's opponent draws his card. LOUDER laughter. He plays a card. Still more laughter. And so on, and so on. Some of the locals were talking smack to Alan and myself. Some of these people may be good players, but the fact that they were abusive and mean when talking smack made it a negative thing instead of a fun thing. I talk smack to people like Truc Bui and Brian Hacker, and they talk smack to me. However, there is still a mutual respect thing when it happens. When someone who has been to at least one pro tour and at least one nationals has to stoop to rubbing it in that he beat me at regionals the previous year when I haven't attended a PT or nationals is just plain mean. This person also went on to brag to everyone in the store that **HE** was the one that kept Alan out of the final 64 at Chicago. What kind of a person does this? This is what I was getting at. Not that I hated all the players in Las Vegas, but that I didn't like the way that we were treated. However, the comments from people threatening me with physical violence over A GAME and things that I have said are getting old. I appreciate the negative comments that people send me. I am more than happy to discuss hatred of me or things that I have said. However, calling me a "fudge packin homo" is really immature and uncalled for. I am a heterosexual and I don't appreciate the passive-aggressive gay bashing taking place because some of the best MTG players ARE gay. Once again I welcome all comments aboot my postings. However, if all you want to do is call me names then I would appreciate it if you would just come over to my house and tell them to me to my face. Or, at least, sign your name to your hate mail so that I know that you are man (or woman... don't mean to offend) enough to stand behind what you say.
