First of all here is what I played: 4 Jackal Pup 4 Mogg Fanatic 2 Goblin Vandal 2 Goblin Digging Team 3 Shock 2 Cursed Scroll 4 Incinerate 4 Mogg Flunkies 4 Ball Lightning 3 Suq 'Ata Lancer 1 Viashino Sandstalker 2 Invasion Plans 4 Fireblast 4 Wastelands 17 Mountains. Here is a brief breakdown I went 6-1-1 in 8 swiss rounds. was 5th going into the round of eight. note: apology to all of you for forgetting names, I was really tired. round one: vs. propaganda-winter orb. I got locked down both two games but won w/ fireblasts round two: vs. lisa marie something or other black weenie. burn down the shadows in game one. second game she quickly got me down to 6 or so when I busted the scroll power to knock off shadows and burn her to death. round three; vs. white weenie, ww is a decent deck, but this deck kills it, and his was slower to add control stuff, which didn't help much. I win two games handily, he had no pro-red creatures. round four: vs. Sammy Batarseh, (he was in first at the time) sligh classic style He got great pull and I got crap, he said it himself, I lose 2-1 round five: vs. five color green I win 2-1 his grangers were a pain, but wastelands, and fanatics lowered his mana supply. and his mana leak of my fireblast killed me first game. I sideboarded 2 earthquakes after that, and they helped me kill really fast. (they belong in sb every time.) round six: vs. black red reanimator I originally thought he was playin sligh so I sided against it for the next game, but it wasn't necessary. he did reanimate a colosus and almost "fling"ed it at me. round seven: vs. sligh. this one was important. I opened both games strong, with a goblin then flunkie, then ball lightning. then he would come back and hold me down for a while, until I drew enough burn to kill him, in the second game I even drew three incinerates in a row and went incin, incin, incin, fireblast, for game. eighth round: vs. five color green joe ellis(this guy beat sammy easily in a fun game after an i.d.) I inten. draw to get into round of eight. round of eight: quarterfinals vs. sligh. I lose the first quickly and everyone around us thinks it is over for me. I win the next two fairly easily. at one time attacking using invasion plans to sacrifice my goblin vandal to kill a scroll, then being givin a warning (one strike of the three strikes and you're out) for putting him in the graveyard, because you don't have to sacrifice him as a part of the cost for the ability. I thought you did and overlooked it, and was called for "misrepresenting a card" I thought that it was lame to give me the warning, because I didn't gain an advantage, I lost advantage, but it's all good, since I didn't really care, and I understand that I made a mistake and all. I go on to semi finals. semi finals vs. five color green (the guy who won regionals) It was about 1:30am now, ask him, and I didn't care about winning after getting into the round of eight, getting past quarters was just a bonus. I get my ass beat pretty bad, at one time drawing seven lands in a row. so I took 3rd-4th and am goin to nationals. thanx to j. schneider, 'cause I combined his deck with mine, metagamed it and surprised a lot of people there. props: batdorff- I never liked you till this tourney, and even though you gave me a warning, you're my homie swarowski-man, you didn't do so hot this time, but you are a hilarious guy, the dude who won. slops: guy gorman-for judging instead of playing. the guy who through a fit about his opponent stalling, 'cause I say you play all day and you were an asshole and you were stallin against almost everybody, so just shut up, tha's it. bye bye.
