Subject: Relentless Recycle Date: Wed, 05 Nov 1997 07:45:22 -0500 From: Hannibal King To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com I've seen a bunch of Alur'Cycle decks, but I haven't seen many Recycle decks (w/ no Alluren's). Here's the R/G one that I made. Green: 3x Recycle -> What the deck is about. 3x Harrow -> Land Filter/Advantage. 3x Creeping Mold -> Multi-purpose removal. 3x Desert Twister -> Multi-purposer removal. 2x Mirri's Guile -> Sylvan's better but this work w/ Recycle. 3x Elephant Grass -> Protection against swarm decks. 2x Early Harvest -> Oh darn, out of mana... not. 1x Natural Spring -> Life is good. 4x Gaea's Blessing -> It keeps going and going. 4x Llanowar Elves -> Mana is good, 2nd turn Harrow. 4x Muscle Slivers -> Beef. 3x Horned Slivers -> Trampling Beef. Red: 2x Heart Slivers -> No sickness is good. 1x RelentlessAssault -> Screw Overrun, OverKILL. :) Artifacts: 2x Altar of Dementia -> Multi-purpose grinder. 1x Jester's Cap -> Go fish for annoying stuff. 3x Emerald Medallion -> Why I have no Allurens. Land: 2x Ghost Town -> Harder to remove than Und. Paradise. 13x Forest 3x Mountain How it works: The Harrow's filter the land and gives you an advantage early on. The Elephant Grass' supress weenie hordes from invading you while you get the Recycle out and then just protect you. Medallions make you spend less mana to do stuff w/ Recycle. I play the Cap simply because where I play most people still play Type I, I usually fish for Balance, 'Haups and 'Geddon. I prefer Ghost Town to Undiscovered Paradise because it's alot harder to remove: sorceries can't kill it. You Gaea's bless the Molds and Twisters to remove anything which bugs you and if your Library is too thin, you can always sac and extra Horned Sliver to grind yourself a Blessing. Early Harvest when a Recycle is out is just wild, combine it with the Relentless Assault for a Timewalk effect and this is too fun. When this deck gets going, it gets going, the best part is that is play great as a multiplayer deck. I once got it into a grove and killed 4 people in a row on the same turn 'cus of Relentless Assault. Comments & Suggestions email me at rage@rdsnet.com Hannibal King
