Subject: Deck suggestion. . . At first it seems a little strange, going away from the norm (ProsBloom, Big Blue, Stompy, and such) but I have found this deck to handle most decks with relative ease. There has always been hype for a Red/Black beatdown deck, so while I was trying to build such a deck I was stricken with an anti-beatdown control idea. As a result I have come up with what I believe to be a fun while still competitive control deck, and yes it is Red/Black. So here it goes. . . [Black] x4 Urborg Stalkers x4 Nekrataal x4 Bone Dancers x4 Black Knight x4 Carrionette x3 Necromancy x2 Infernal Tribute x1 Bone Harvest [Red] x4 Incinerate x3 Kaervek's Torch x1 Earthquake [Artifact] x3 Nevinyrral's Disk [Land] x2 Cinder Marsh x2 Sulfurous Springs x3 Mountains x4 Rocky Tar Pits x12 Swamps [Sideboard] x4 Coercion x3 Pyroblast x2 Sirocco x2 Earthquake x2 Perish x2 Dark of Night Just a couple of things to remember when playing the deck. Its unlike alot of the deck I have played in that it is able to out speed the 'speed decks' as well as out control most 'control decks'. Also the deck forces your opponent to deal with each card individually. Thought the creatures appear fragile they have there strengths. The Stalker not only hurs all non-black decks it also stops flankes while hiding just outside of incinerate range. The Knights, well their Black Knights how many 2/2's are there for two with 2 special abilities. The Dancer is a card to be reckoned with. Yes, he is fragile but you put him out after a disk has been blown and your opponent is sweatin' for creature control. The disk are to reset if the situation gets out of control. The Carrionettes are a new addition to the deck. I'm not quite sure if I like them but they have come in handy when dealing with a quick swarm, I throw him out there to block early then deal with a creature later when he's in the graveyard. The Tribute can get you some late game card advantage as well as a place to put all that extra land (in the graveyard). The one Bone Harvest maybe (to me) more of a flavor card than anything else but it has come in handy on several occasions especially when I need an emergency Nekrataal. The sideboard is pretty self explanatory, Coercion for bloom, Dark of Night for WW, Perish and Earthquake for Stompy, Pyroblast and Sirocco for Big Blue(which it beats 90% of the time in game one) anyway, and the deck usually beats sligh and celerety burn. The deck is easy to play and with its success is fun (since it wins). I have played it a couple of times in some small local tournaments and as a result my friends have started playing cards to deal with it. Any deck that forces metagame decisions is a good deck. Anyway if you think its worth a mention on your page go ahead and any suggestions to the deck would be nice. I like constructive criticism as it is the only way to truly become a fine player. Thanx.
