Subject: Alurecycle Deck Date: Wed, 15 Oct 1997 07:44:30 -0400 (EDT) From: Gangrellll@aol.com To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com This deck is based on the Aluren/Recycle combo, in which you place a Recycle and Aluren and (with help of a mana severence or another recycle) fly through your deck. Alurecycle Deck 4 Recycle 2 Aluren 2 Eladamri's Vineyard 2 Giant Growth 1 Mana Severence 1 Overrun 2 Emerald Charm 4 Rootwala 4 Joelrael's Centaur 4 River Boa 4 Llanowar Elves 4 Quiron Rangers 1 Uktabi Orangutan 4 Trained Armodon 3 Undiscovered Paradise 18 Forest The Llanowar elves and vineyards are all help to get a recycle out faster. If you need to spend the mana, just pump it into a rootwala. Chances are your opponent will have a lot more trouble with it than you will. The major weakness of the deck is countermagic and discard. Two counterspells or a stupor could ruin your deck. That's why there are so many rangers and undiscovered paradise. Should your opponent make you discard your only 2 cards, simply return a forest (or paradise) to your hand and start the cycle over again. The 4 recycles are in there because if you get 2 out, you draw 2 cards for each one you play. The emerald carms are there mainl to get rid of aetherflashes. Some alterations I might want to make would be to add more mana severences/alurens, but the current version works fine for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Charlie Kersten Gangrellll@aol.com
