Subject: my funky extended deck Date: 15 Oct 1997 22:36:27 GMT From: bvick44921@aol.com (BVick44921) Newsgroups: rec.games.trading-cards.magic.strategy well i been thinking a little and decided on my deck for the extended qualifiers and well i based my decision on metagame and a speed kill. here is 3 thunder bolt(flyers) 4 bolt(how can i not in a red deck?) 4 incinerate 3 tactics(for a quicker kill against hymn/necro decks) 3 fireblast(good finisher) 3 pyroclasm(for the little weenie hordes) 3 aether flash(to make sure the hordes stay off the board once it is clean) 3 orgg(good with clasm and the flash) 3 stormbind(very very good source of damage plus green is in the board) 3 wildfire(white killer) 4 erhnam(if ya got green, gotta have ernie) 4 wasteland(who doesnt play non basics in extended?) 4 factories(how can i pass) 4 taiga 4 karpulsan forest 8 mountain sideboard: 3 city of solitude(for blue and cop's) 3 disk(good control) and the rest is to be decided before the tourney(but im open for suggestions) i based my deck on the landkill decks from post alliances 96(strips, ernies, insects, bind and bolts) and i was thinking of going that route with wasteland instead of strip and throw in 2 miners and 2 settlers but there are a lot of weenie decks out there, but i still my try that(let me know what you think is better landkill/direct or weenie kill/phat creature/direct). one thing i have thought of is adding forsaken wastes which i think is a VERY good card in this format(esp. against necro and counterpost). i also thought of simply taking out all the green cept the city of solitude and switching to black with hymns and landkill and forsaken wastes. im kinda liking disenchant too for those always fun cop: red's well anyways those are my thoughts, now i need yours, post to the group and feel free to email me. thanx I am SuperChump, Hear me roar!
