Subject: B/G/r Prosperous Harvest Date: Thu, 16 Oct 1997 12:45:25 -0700 From: Michael Wilson To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com This deck is based on a red green deck I built when Mirage came out based on Mana Flare/Early Harvest generating tons of mana here's the prototype deck (Weatherlight Concurent): 4 Mana Flare 4 Early Harvest 4 Abeyance 1 Swords to Plowshares 2 City of Solitude 4 Kaerveck's Torch 2 Fireball 4 Snake Basket 3 Wildfire Emmisary 4 Wall of Roots 4 Vetran Explorers 2 Rampant Growth 2 Mountain Valley 8 Mountain 9 Forest 5 Plains This deck is fun to play and fairly reliable. With Tempest coming out I made a Prosperous Bloom deck (you can see it posted under the Brain Surgery list) and this got me thinking about my Mana Flare/Early Harvest Deck, so I thought about adding Prosperity/Summer Bloom to the combo (hey why not!?) So the deck ended up being Blue/Green/red and it loses to any deck with any countermagic, but it's fun to play... Sideboarding could make this deck competitive against blue/control decks. 4 Prosperity 4 Mystical Tutor 2 Time Warp 1 Meditate 1 Three Wishes 2 Impulse 4 Early Harvest 4 Summer Bloom 2 Gaea's Blessing (when you draw your whole deck these let you go into infinite recursion with 2 point prosperities for a Blessing, and two Prosperities) 4 Mana Flare 1 Kaerveck's Torch 1 Sudden Impact 1 Scroll Rack 4 Lotus Petal 10 Island 10 Forest 5 Mountain There are several combos with the Mystical Tutors, you can tutor/impluse or Gaea's Blessing/tutor to keep the combo rolling. The sideboard would have something like 4 City of Solitude 3 Memory Lapse 2 Hydroblast 3 Pyroblast and 3 Elephant Grass) of course this changes with your local environment.
