I think that they could be quite strong in the new environment. I know these versions are not where they need to end up, but I figured I would go to the big brain pool for comments. "Brain Surgery" --kinda recurring disruption, internal decking kinda thing. It works along the same lines as my 'Puzzling Song' deck that is posted here at the Dojo. I was hoping that I could get some feedback to improve it. GOLD Lobotomy x 4 (yeek!) BLACK Dark Ritual x 3 (speed is good) Coercion x 4 (look at the hand) Dark Banishing x 3 (some defense) Greater Werewolf x 2 (the counter thing really is useful) BLUE Propaganda x 3 (stops/slows down the weenies) Boomerang x 4 (makes sure I get to Lobotomy something I want to get rid of. I was thinking about Capsize in its spot, but am not sure) Counterspell x 4 (cover. May need more) GREEN Gaea's Blessing x 3 (recursion) ARTIFACT Dancing Scimitar x 2 (flying defense) Disrupting Sceptre x 2 (disruption is good) Moss Diamond x 3 (need the green from somewhere) LAND 24 assorted lands...I haven't quite decided which 2nd deck is stronger, and I have played it a bit. I would like some feedback about sideboard possibilities. What do you think would just roll me, and what possible remedies would you suggest? "Are you tired of this yet" RED Stone Rain x 4 (land kill) Solfatara x 3 (slows development) Shivan Dragon x 2 (have to kill them somehow) Wall of Diffusion x 2 (stops all annoying shadow critters, as well as non-shadow) BLUE Man o War x 3 (slows development) Ophidian x 3 (good vs weenies, great for card advantage) Boomerang x 4 (stunts development) Political Trickery x 2 (use with Undiscovered to net a land advantage) Time Elemental x 2 (another road to delay them) Capsize x 3 (perma-rang, really stops them) Counterspell x 4 Dissipate x 4 LAND Undiscovered Paradise x 3 Mountain x 5 Caldera Lake (U/R pain) x 4 Island x 12 The concept is to get them to a situation where they have minimal land on the board, because you have been busy returning one land a turn to their hand. Once the TE is out, and you can Capsize one land a turn, that is pretty much it. I have had a few games where my opponent has had one land in play on the 9th turn. It is by no means a fast deck, so I imagine speed would pose a problem. Artifacts too, to some extent, although they are 'rangable. I worry about untargetables, protection blue, and the weenie swarm, and burn. I have been trying out a sideboard, but am not sure whre to go with it. Thus, I am turning to the collective mind.
