Subject: G/W/r recursion type 2 Date: Thu, 18 Sep 1997 12:19:21 -0400 (EDT) From: Vegas6571@aol.com To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Last Sat. The Pack Shack, in Detroit, held a type 2 tournament for $50, $35, and $25 or so. 32 participants, 5 rounds of single elim. Well the winner was Rich ?? (The guy with PIERCINGS, that used to have a mohawk) playing a G/r song of blood deck with 39 creatures, 2winter orbs, and some songs. Don't know about second, but third was a 5CG with 3 geddons, fourth was patrick chapin with W/G/r Abeyance/Gaea/Gerrard/Sylvan/Thrane silliness. It was a hybrid of a recursive deck that once included blue that he built and lost with and Alan Comer's Gaea deck. Patrick was kind enough to show me the deck he was using: 4xAbeyance 3xGerrard's Wisdom 3xWrath of God 3xSwords to Plowshares 3xDisenchant 1xIsland Sancuary 4xGaea's Blessing 3xSylvan Library 3xCreeping Mold 4xIncinerate 2xAether Flash 1xDisintigrate 3xThrane Tome 2xCities of Brass 4xThawing Glacier 5xMountain 6xForests 7xPlains The consensus was that the deck is in fact viable, but needs more armageddon protection, possibly a few diamonds. Also noted: "Alan Comer is a GENIUS" Vegas
