The idea is a blue/white deck for standard. We all know the Sands of Time/Equipose creature lock, what I've done is come up with a fresh twist. Use manavault! This allows the lock to come down quicker, and the Sands of Time will untap the vault for free; is this broken or what? Use tutors, impulse, arcanes, abeyance to scan the deck quickly and lay the combo. Next step is to geddon while you have diamonds and vaults in play. You're opponent can never have more than one land at any given time, and the only creature threats are those that can attack immediately. For this reason, I suggest main deck CoP: Red. The only problem left is finishing off your helpless opponent. Air Elementals, Sandbar Crocodiles, or artifact creatures in particular seem like the best canidates. Of course, the other option is to run your opponent out of cards. In this case, island sanctuary, soldevi digger strike me as the obvious canidates. Other cards which seem to be crying for use in this deck are: Icy Manipulator - tapping control with Sands of Time is very important. Can be cast via mana vaults is a huge bonus. Force of Will - a lock deck can always use 'em. Note the use of mana vault to cast force of will. Gemstone Mine/Undiscovered Paradise- when you're lands leave play, so do your opponents, making the apparent drawback a potential benefit. Reality Ripple - two to cast desert twister as an instant? Bub-bi Sandstalker, phase into the abyss. Gerrards Wisdom - Obviously burn is a strong enemy of this deck. The manavaults can also be a slow death if top decking skills aren't up to par. Eliminate both problems with this puppy. What do you think? I'm working on a basic example for play testing to see if it works as well as I think it will.
