Burying stuff alive is fun, and it's effective in spite of that. 2. Armageddon is better with black weenies than white ones 3. Since there aren't any dual lands in T2, playing b/w you may as well splash a lot of other crap in there too. Decklist Black 4 Ashen Ghouls 2 Nether Shadow 2 Krovikan Horror 3 Black Knights 1 Drain life 2 Buried Alive 3 Nekrataal 1 Contagion White 3 Stp 2 Armageddon Red 1 Wildfire Emissary 3 Incinerate 1 Death spark Blue 2 Man o War Green 1 Uktabi orangutan Artifact 2 Fellwar stone 3 Winter Orb 2 Anvil of Bogardan 1 Serrated Biskellion Land 4 Undiscovered 4 Gemstone Mine 2 City of Brass 1 Sulfurous Spring 1 Mountain 1 Plain 1 Lotus Vale 8 Swamps Sideboard 2 Sleight of Mind 2 Urborg Justice 2 Hydroblast 3 Pyroblast 3 Disenchant 2 Ebony Charm 1 Armageddon Play notes Sideboard in the Justice vs. virtually anyone. 'Scalebane elite? Damn, attack with 2 ghouls. Kill one? Urborg Justice kills the scalebane.' Green or white also get the Sleights and possible Disenchants. SRB (stupid red burn) decks deserve extra armageddons and the hydroblasts obviously. Big blue and C-post can provide problems, which can often be solved by forcing through a worb or a Buried with Pyroblast backup. Depending on your area, you may want to look through the also-ran cards for ideas. Also Ran Cut at the last minute were a few strong cards that weren't quite good enough. That doesn't mean they may not be more appropriate in someone else's version. Fallen Angel - on the one hand, she flies, is unplowable, and eats nether shadows and ghouls to get huge. On the other hand, she's 5cc in a worb/geddon deck with 22 land. Wildfire - traded at the last minute for a 3rd Knight. May switch back. Crypt rats - traded for worbs. Tough call, because they work well with urborg justice. Arcane Denials/Underground River- Traded for the Death spark and another Buried. I sparked ball lightnings on 2 separate occasions, but I was also holding it when I needed Denials a couple times. Very tough call, play with both for a while and try it. Kaerveks spite - its really hard not to throw this in every black deck as a finisher. But what to take out? It's limited use makes it sub-optimal, as an opening hand with a Spite means a wasted card for several turns minimum, possibly the whole game. Anyway, comments and advice are semi-cheerfully accepted as always. alan webster charter member team DMFJ most spiteful member of Team quarterstaff
