Subject: Deck. "COMBOCRAFT V1.1" Date: Mon, 28 Sep 1998 14:23:19 GMT0BST From: ANDREW PHILLIPS To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com I have recently been working on a new deck concept, to run in type II, after the mirage block rotates out. I have had some success in play testing, and would like to share the idea. Feel free to E.mail me if you have any questions regarding this deck. I shall list the cards then discuss the theory, and way in which the deck operates. As yet it is in early development, and the Ursa's set may add more to the deck. Deck could be easily modified for the TSE enviroment. 4 Recycles ( Draw cards ) 2 Alurens ( play creatures without tying up mana) 3 Earthcraft ( turn creatures into mana) 2 Scroll Rack ( Get the land away ) 1 Goblin Bombardment ( deals final damage) 1 fireball ( Deals penultimate damage) 3 Lotus Petals 4 Llanowar elves 4 Bird of Paradise 4 Mogg Fanatics 4 Jackal Pups 3 Mulch (Not sure about this ) 4 Wall of blossom ( With recycle, earthcraft, and aluren = 2 cards, one mana for one card 1 Feldon's Cane ( return the bombardment creatures to the library) 14 Forests 7 Mountains The idea is very combo orientated. Each creature with the exception of the wall of blossoms can be cast for one mana. Also they can all be put into play using the alurens. With this in mined. The deck flows, by using earthcraft to untap a land, by tapping a creature. In order to cast a new creature, and repeat the processes. Thus drawing a card from the recycle. Once the aluren goes down any creature can be cast, and triggers the recycle, and then each can be used to effectively add one mana to the pool, via the earthcraft. Most of the deck can be drawn, the creatures played sacrificed to the bombardment. The cane activated and the cards recycled ready to be drawn, played tappped and sacrificed again. Any untapped creatures at this stage, can be used to cast a fireball via earthcraft, then the creatures sacrificed to the bombardment. It may sound confusing. But it does work. Regularly bringing victory, on turn 4 or 5. Try it and let me know what you think Posted BY Andrew PHILLIPS
