Both decks focus on the lovely under-rate card: Mana Breach. Here is "The Breach" #1: Artifact: 3 x Horn of Greed 3 x Mox Diamond 1 x Scroll Rack 1 x Static Orb 1 x Spell Book Spell: 4 x Mana Breach 3 x Propaganda 4 x Forbrid 1 x Capsize 2 x Evacuation 1 x Legacy's Allure 3 x Disenchant 1 x Peace of Mind 3 x Winds of Rath 2 x Megrim 1 x Burgeoning Creature: 2 x Wayward Soul Lands: 1 x Reflection Pool 2 x Thalakos Lowlands 1 x Vec Towships 12 x Island 7 x Plain 3 x Swamp The original deck is a non Rath deck and some cards like Wrath of Gods is replaced by weaker counterpart like Winds of Rath. The purpose of this deck is to deck your opponent by Horn and Breach, with constant Forbrid, kill them by Megrim or Wayward Soul. But normally, my opponents concede after I cast the third Mana Breach/Horn of Greed or a Megrim. The combination of Horn + Mox + Spell Book + Breach + Propaganda + Forbrid + Megrim work very well together. This deck done very good in friendly play and is great fun. Here is "The Bond Breach". Special thanks to Duane Eberhard for inspiring me to use Manabond with Mana Breach. 1 x Fool Tomb 2 x Ensnaring Bridge 1 x Torture Chamber 2 x Mox Diamond 4 x Mana Breach 2 x Oath of Scholars 2 x Manabond 3 x Bottomless Pit 1 x Verdigris (although it's instant & reactive but It's the only way to destroy artifact) 1 x Lobotomy 2 x Megrim 2 x Wall of Blossoms 1 x Canopy Spider 4 x Dauthi Horror 3 x Dauthi Cutthroat 1 x Dauthi Mindripper 2 x Wind Dancer (I love shadow with flying, here just for fun) 2 x Mindless Automation 9 x Swamp 6 x Island 6 x Forest 2 x Rootwater Depths 1 x Volrath's Stronghold My original purpose of creating this Rath deck is to utilize my abandoned Manabond, but resulted in a aggressive Mana Breach deck. This deck look silly at first graze but infact the Bottomless Pit & Mana Breach combo is deadly, especially you have Manabond to get around the effect (finally Manabond is better than Burgeoning!!). The Oath of Scholars also work well with Ensnaring Bridge and Manabond/Breach, You have 2 or 3 cards in your hand on your turn and none on your opponent's turn. Which effectly shut down opponent's creatures attack and enable your's. I used Wall of Blossoms, Spider and Torture Chamber for defence; Megrim and cheap shadow for the kill. The Verdigris can be exchanged for a Propaganda for more creature defence. Some creatures in the deck are just for fun. Not a bad original deck I think, hope you like it. As you can see, The Mana Breach got a lot of potential and I think putting it in Tradewind/Awarken would also work very well. Please give a comment or two. Simon Mak simonmak@nortel.com
