    after lots of playtesting i think this very close to the original.  here
is my new version of the formerly dominating vice-age deck:

4 howling mine
3 miser's cage - comments at the bottom
4 ogre shamen - some good
4 tinder wall
4 maro
4 birds of paradise
2 wall of roots
2 llanowar elves
4 incinerate
1 fireball
1 jokulhaups
2 orgg

4 karplusan forest
4 wasteland
8 forest
8 mountain

that's it.  now here's were i get to half the reason i posted this.  the only
problem with this deck is i cant decide on the best vice replacement.  ive
tried the cages, ankh's, thumbscrews.  obviously none of these cards will
equal the vice in power, but i hope i can find a decent replacement.  as for
the other cards most of them work better than the original versions.  anyway,
any comments on a vice replacement would be greatly welcomed. here's a listing
of an original vice age deck (the version i used to play) for those who have
never seen it:
