Anything that offers a chance to draw multiple cards is potentially strong. Early defense for blue is also nice. Betrayal U Enchant Creature Play only on a creature an opponent controls If enchanted creature becomes tapped, draw a card. "Betrayed by those you love" 4 Betrayal U 2 Flood U 3 Enervate U1 (Tap something cantrip) 1 Mind Games U (UU2) 4 Man-o-War U2 (yes, they are still good,even in this deck!) 4 Ophidian U2 (more card drawing) 2 Tradewind Rider U3 1 Wall of Air UU1 (more defence against untargetables) 2 Suq-Ata Firewalker UU1 (main route to victory!) 1 Wall of Tears U1 4 Counterspell UU 2 Dissipate UU1 (replace with Forbid when I get some!) 1 Power Sink UX 1 Dismiss UU2 (Mana Leak would be better but I like this card) 2 Legacy's Allure UU 1 Propaganda U2 1 Whispers of the Muse U (U5) 1 Capsize UU1 (UU4) 1 Recall UXX 3 Quicksand 1 Wasteland 18 Island 60 cards 22 mana (low but the cantrips and Betrayal helps) Early on, Betrayal or bounce every creature you see.Use the buyback spells if you see them early, you can get them back with Recall later.If they cast nothing first turn use Enervate to tap their land. Survive until mid-game and you win.If someone ignores the Betrayals you get lots of cards and should win.If they stop attacking mono-blue wins the long game.The Floods also work very well with Propaganda.Obviously the deck is considerably weaker versus creatureless but then Ophidian power should help a lot.You lose versus other mono-blue first game unless you get out and keep an Ophidian and Oath decks are a problem but this deck is strong versus even very fast creature decks. Note: Sex monkeys are sadly disappointed against this deck. Sideboard 4 Chill 2 Hydroblast 1 Shimmer (versus any mono deck but blue) 2 Energy Flux (If I can't use Cursed Scroll, you can't,nice with Shimmer) 1 Dream Tides (slows everything, stops green) 2 Disrupt (versus mono-blue) 2 Knight of the Mist (versus White or Black) 1 Interdict (1001 uses, put in whenever anything main deck looks weak) I've also tried Chronotogs in the deck.No-one can figure them out, including me.I'd also love to fit in Impulse but as you can see the deck is pretty full already (more counters, Props, land would also be welcome).
