Subject: Deck Workshop Date: Fri, 26 Jun 1998 13:25:16 -0400 From: Chris Howe To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com This is a type II deck that I have made and I really like it. It does well and it is more fun than straight black. I call it Suicide Suprise. land 3 City of brass 4 Underground River 3 Root Water Depths 8 Swamps 18 Total Other 4 Dark ritual 4 Unstable Mutation 2 Unholy Strength 3 Bad Moon 3 Paralyze 1 Reckless Spite 17 Total 4 Dauthi Slayers 4 Dauthi Horrors 4 Black Night 3 Blood Pets 3 Sarcomany 2 Erg Raiders 2 Barrow Ghoul 3 Man O War 25 Total The main deck Plays a lot like suicide black lots of creatures and eanchantments to make them big I use unstables because of the number of Man O Wars here. I am thinking about takeing out the Unholies For two scrolls that is the next step in testing. The Barrow ghouls really work well Try it aginst Sly or control there is always dead stuff and sometimes my unstables kill stuff also any way the best part of the deck is the sideboard. 2 Wall of Souls 1 Disrupt ( I Love this Card :p ) 4 Mana Leak 2 Sleight Of Mind 3 Gloom 3 Perish The Side Board really helps out. Perish against Flagpole, Gloom against WW ect ect I side in the leeks to suprise people gat a couple of creatures protect em with the leaks. I found That against any deck that can make white Mana I put in all the glooms I use slight for other stuff Usually emperical armor crusade. I even slighted a gloom to black once :) when I had a big creature advantage. All in all this deck is fun and it helped me get my first top eight finish. It was in a small tournament but hey ya gotta start somewere Comments are appreciated send to chowe@rollins.edu Thanks YodaOpie
