In most cases they're right. But I think if made right, it can be quite effective. Here's a mono green deck I created: *** 15 Forest 4 Eledamri's Vineyard (if you don't want 2 get burned, waste the mana on bees or spikes) 3 Creeping Mold (very effective for green) 2 Worldly Tutor (this has many uses. if you have only 1 forest in your hand, use this to get a bird. early in the game it can get you a wall of blossoms. late in the game you can get a killer bees or a stampeding wildebeests to finish combos. you can also get the monkey to blast away those annoying scrolls) 1 Birds of Paradise (i use them instead of elves for two reasons. first, its a bluff to your opponent so he/she will waste a counter or an incinerate on it, thinking i have a 5CG deck. second, it will block huge blue flyers later in the game) 4 River Boa (instant win against blue) 4 Wall of Blossoms (best card ever. combo w/ wildebeests. good against sligh) 4 Wall of Roots (mana and a blocker combined in one. combo w/ wildebeests) 4 Whirling Dervish (instant win against black) 1 Uktabi Orangutan (i hate scrolls and bridges. combo w/ wildebeests) 4 Jolrael's Centaur (untargetable so its good against tradewinds and burn) 2 Killer Bees (late in the game you will need these guys) 4 Mirri, Cat Warrior (new exodus card. instant win against green) 4 Spike Feeder (life gainer. combo w/ wildebeests) 4 Stampeding Wildebeests (as u can see by now, these guys are good for lots of combos. also nice to have a 5/4 trampler) SB 3 Emerald Charm (i hate props) 4 City of Solitude (good against blue) 2 Jester's Cap (goes against pesky buyback, specifically caps) 3 Uktabi Orangutan (in case just one of them isnt enough) 1 Phyrexian Furnase (obviously for living death decks) 1 Overrun (good against those games that go on forever. good against humility) 1 Undiscovered Paradise (use this against winter orbs and armageddons. also good against land destruction decks) *** i think this deck will be pretty effective because it has instant win creatures against 3 different colors, and the speed of beatdown is incredible please send all comments (or whatever else) to me at aznraider333@hotmail.com ps the dojo is daBomb ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
