Subject: [DECK] "Goblin Song" by J.P. Flores Date: Tue, 9 Jun 1998 15:58:38 EDT From: Dungong@aol.com To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com OK, this is a red deck, and its a... Goblin deck. However, the name might throw you off into thinking this deck sucks right off the bat. In truth, it has got 4 turn wins once in a while. Normally, long whiles... anyways I'll explain more later Land 15 mountain (1:3 mana ratio works well) Artifact 4 Lotus Petal (Speed!) Red 4 Fireblast 4 Mogg Conscripts 4 Mogg Raiders 4 Mogg Fanatic 3 Fireslingers (OK, OK, so I couldn't make the whole thing goblins..) 3 Goblin Vandals 1 Goblin Tinkerer 4 Goblin Recruiters 4 Goblin Digging Team (Those SH walls are annoying aren't they?) 2 Panic (What? Panic? Well its basically a one shot cantrip pacifism) 4 Keepers of Kookus 4 Song of Blood (with 31 Creatures, a blind song is pretty good) Basically just get a bunch of Goblins out. With a lotus petal you could fire off the recruiter/Song of Blood combo in 3 turns with 3 creatures out, usually enough to win if OP has no blockers. The Panic is used to clear the way, or if needed, just to cantrip. The Tinkerer is recruitable so playing with one is like playing with 5, use it to kill scrolls and Moxes. If you do pull of the Recruiter/Song combo, put a Mogg Raider or Fanatic on top with Consripts on the bottom. If OP counters the Song, 4 Conscripts in a row is no laughing matter. The Fanatic and Raider are only used on top if the combo is unexecutable in 1 turn in which case you can use the creature for a point of damage. You'll notice that there are no shocks or Incinerates because they slow down the deck. With a Goblin deck, if one concentrates on removal, you're toast. The fireblasts are in because they are virtually free. Have fun, and if anyone actually wins a tourney with a Goblin Deck, or has any hidden goblin secrets I forgot in this deck, I'd appreciate if you'd mail me at Dungong@aol.com
