Subject: Extended Fat/Geddon Deck Date: Sun, 10 May 1998 03:57:55 EDT From: MAGIC0825 To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Extended Fat/Geddon Deck Mana Producing Land(23): 6 Forest 4 Plateau 4 Taiga 4 Savannah 3 City of Brass 2 Mishra’s Factory Artifacts(2): 2 Serrated Arrows-kills weenies Green(10): 4 Erhnam Djinn-FAT! unfortunately, can be Plowed 4 Birds of Paradise-mana producer 3 Jolreal's Centaur-untouchable 2 Llanowar Elves-mana producer White(14): 4 Armageddon-sit back with a nice big fat creature that your opponent cant touch! that's the life! 4 Savannah Lions-an early weenie if nothing else 3 Swords to Plowshares-with Geddon you want to be sure to remove of any creature quickly and immediately 3 Disenchant-typical card of choice to kill artifacts and enchantments; no brainer if you play white Red(8): 4 Wildfire Emissary-better than the Djinn since it can't be Plowed 4 Lightning Bolt-direct damage and quick creature removal Sideboard: 3 Pyroblast-stops blue player's from countering your Geddon 3 Hydroblast-stops low burn at a low cost 2 Anarchy-devastates a white deck 2 Gorilla Shaman-kill Diamonds or Stones 2 Tranquilit Domain-Enduring Renewal decks and the such 2 Dwarven Miner-duh! 1 Disenchant-extra artifact or enchantment removal Basically get a first turn mana producer like the birdie or the elf. Then lay down say a Lions or kill their critter with your 1 mana kill card and attack if its an Elf. Then lay down a fattie ASAP. Geddon if possible. If they play a quick creature horde deck, your 7 one mana removal spells take them down easily and painlessly in order to Geddon safely. Against counterdecks, the Factory can be a solution or you can just win without Geddoning. Baiting them also works. Try to just cast fatties and attack. If they wrath lay down more creatures. Wildfire is especially good since they either have to counter it or Wrath. The sideboard is versatile. It has Pyroblasts for counters so you can Geddon. It has cards to deal with people with non-land mana producers so Geddon can have a greater impact. Hydroblast is for cheesy bolt and burn decks. Anarchy for control and the enchantment and artifact removal for just the sake of removal.
