But how does it win? Most PropaOrb decks and very heavy Blue, with maybe a splash of white for Disenchants (I like U/w better than mono-U myself.) Usually they use fat flyers like Spouts or Air Elementals for the kill, with possible support from ManOWars and SuqAtaFirewalkers. See a tourney report of a good, typical, PropaOrb deck at: http://thedojo.com/t981/t2.980213sra.txt The deck I've been working on is PropaOrb-ish: 2 Avenging Angel (Great kill card. Let's you play sloppy control: Sometimes you just toss it out early and beatdown... and then geddon. It's nice not having to achieve complete lock-down control sometimes. 2 Winter Orb 2 Armageddon (May drop one for another Orb) 4 Propaganda 3 Wrath of God 3 Staunch Defenders (This slot was Gerrard's Wisdom, but I found the Gerrard's to suck hard if I don't additionally get Wraths and/or Prop. & mana-denial combo as well. These are mini-Gerrard's that block, and prevent more damage over time than getting Wise grants, IMO. Could try Bottle Gnomes here.) 2 Meditate (May drop one for Mind Games) 3 Disenchant (I never want to play a deck without these again.) 4 Impulse 4 Counterspell 2 Dissipate 2 Mana Leak (Or Powersink pre-Stronghold) 3 Sky Diamond 3 Marble Diamond 4 Adarkar Wastes 2 Undiscovered Paradise 2 Quicksand 5 Plains 7 Island SB: 4 Chill SB: 4 Disrupt SB: 2 Disrupting Scepter SB: 3 Aura of Silence SB: 1 Wrath of God SB: 1 Winter Orb ----- Daniel DuBois (650) 842-6540 AdKnowledge, Inc. ddubois@pobox.com
