Subject: Poststronghold Brushwageddon Date: Thu, 19 Mar 1998 20:42:10 +0100 From: Anton Jonsson To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com After reading T. Walamies report on the Brushwageddon deck, I saw the decks possibilities and decided to make my own version. For more information about this astounding deck read Mr. Walamies report below. 1 Phyrexian Vault (Just remember to never sacrifice the Brushwagg, it's just too strong) 2 Warthog (The metagame here is all black) 4 Veteran Explorer 2 Tempting licid (Works well with both the basilisk and the fugitive druid) 3 Lowland Basilisk 4 Brushwagg 1 Fugitive Druid (Need to get one more) 1 Carnassid (Don't understand why Mr. Walamies' version doesn't use this!) 1 Spined Wurm 1 Gaeas Blessing 2 Mirris Guile 2 Primal Rage 2 Venerable Monk 4 Armageddon 2 Samite Blessing 2 Conviction 4 Mangara's Blessing (Anti-megrim, really good post-stronghold) 14 Forest 8 Plains Sideboard: 2 Verdigris 2 Crossbow Ambush (Not as much fliers here) 2 Overgrowth 3 Benevolent unicorn (Much better than bandage IMHO) 2 Honor Guard 4 Mangara's equity (As i said, the metagame here is all black) Phyrexian Vault was added for more flexibility with the Explorers and it also turns the Monks into 2 point cantrip streams of life. The tempting licid, while being a good creature on its own, is a real gamebreaker with the Carnassid. It's also very hard to kill, just keep it untapped, and when your opponent tries to kill it, make it a creature enchantment instead. The rest of the alterations are primarily made because of the current metagame here, and now that the deck has 61 cards, it will never get decked. Thanks to Mr. Walamies for making such a great deck! May the Brushwagg be with you! A. Jonsson
