Subject: new stronghold deck: New-Age Sligh by Manaflair Date: Tue, 17 Mar 1998 21:34:44 EST From: Mana Flair To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com I've been working this one out for a while...Basically it uses a weighted Sligh curve with a greater amount of 1 casting cost cards to fully utilize the triple threat of Cursed Scroll, Ensnaring Bridge, and Scalding Tongs. The 3 Goblin Vandals where purley metagame moves as I expect to see a lot of Mox Diamonds, Cursed Scrolls, and Sapphire Meddallions out there. (also, it is the only line of defense against Necro, with it's disk, Golem, and Basket hat tricks) New-Age Sligh by Manaflair (AKA Jon Gordon) 4 Fireblast 4 Jackal Pup 3 Goblin Vandal 4 Mogg Fanatic 4 Mogg Conscript 3 Fireslinger 4 Cursed Scroll 3 Scalding Tongs 4 Kindle 4 Incinerate 4 Ensnaring Bridge 19 Mountains Sideboard: 4 Pyroblast 3 Jinxed Idols (against creatureless, take out the Bridges of course) 2 Shatter (key against Necro and Prisionesque) 1 Vandal 5 sidebaord secret (against Bloom...that's all I'll say ;) This deck will eat discard for lunch folks...only thing I'm worried about is Necro and other life gaining.
