Subject: Burning Horror (B/R standard deck for suggestions) Date: Wed, 28 Jan 1998 12:34:17 +0100 (MET) From: Sonic the Hedgehog To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Hi frank! Here's Silvio from Italy, with a B/R Standard deck for critiques. I like to call it "Burning Horror", and it plays well on tournaments, but I would like some suggestions from the Dojo People: 4 Shadow Guildmage (elves and birds Killer!) 3 Dauthi Slayer 3 Dauthi Horror 2 Black Knight 3 Suq'Ata Lancer (good blocker against centaurs) 3 Wildfire Emissary 2 Orgg (a big and fat surprise!) 4 Nekrataal (nice combo with the guildmages!) 4 Incinerate 4 Kindle 2 Terror (or Diabolic Edict, if you prefer) 2 Disenchant 1 Vampiric Tutor (Nobody plays with it now, but it's still a useful card!) 3 Rocky Tar Pit 4 Sulfurous Springs 2 Gemstone mine 3 Undiscovered Paradise 7 Swamp 4 Mountain Please note that there's nothing to disenchant. It's my philosophy: I usually don't use artifact or enchantments in the main deck, so the opponent has 2 or 3 useless cards. Usually he drops them for sideboard's cards, so I pick enchantments and/or artifacts from my sideboard and put them into the main deck. The base of this deck is a good percent of creature removal. Usually you are able to remove oppnent's creatures easily, in order to let your critters pass trough. Maybe I should add some "reset button", like Jokulhaups. And I fear very much Propa-Orbs, soo the sideboard must be heavily against artifacts and enchantments: Sideboard (still working on this) 1 Disenchant 2 Tranquil domain 4 Pyroblast 3 Whim of Wolrath or Mind Bend (Against Light of Day) 3 Perish 2 ??? (maybe Nevinyrrals?) I'm waiting for suggestions!!!
