Subject: U/G PropOrb Tradewind Deck Date: Fri, 16 Jan 1998 16:07:39 +0200 From: "Mitchell" To: Hi, I'd appreciate some comments on this deck which I built (in my last 3 tournys its come 2nd, 1st and 3rd). It generally only loses when I get mana screwed/swamped, and once the lock comes down it's easy so come back from being way down in life totals. G adds much needed speed and an alternative early beatdown via the Maro's which can be protected through permission. G/R, Living Death and R cheese are all popular in my area. I was running 4 chills in my sideboard as well but replaced them with the creature control and llurgoyfs, i tend to quite often side out the props or worbs or both. I realise i have no shadow creatures but the prop/bounce tends to take care or them. thanx, Andrew Mitchell (Cape Town, South Africa) GREEN/BLUE PropOrb Deck LAND 9 Islands - I tried playing with the new Tempest G/U painland, 8 Forests but didn't like it - too slow - esp with WOrb 2 Undiscovered Paradise 1 Reflecting Pool BLUE 4 Counterspells (UU) - this seems to be just enough counters, thanx 2 Dismiss (2UU) especially to the Gae's Blessings. Allow me especially to protect the WOrb/Rider/Prop lock 4 Propaganda (2U) - part of the lock 1 Meditate (2U) - this card is amazing (esp. with a Maro sitting on the table) 1 Zur's Wedding (3U) - has won me lots of games - it was fun against ProsBloom 4 Man-'o-War (2U) - awesome critters 4 Tradewind Riders (3U) - these just rock...
