This is a resource that we have been given and I plan to I take all of the complaints as a good sign ... people still care enough about this game to point out things that do not look right to them. In other words, enough people still care about it that Magic will continue to grow and improve. Put a third way: no one complains about Star Fleet Battles anymore ... because there are too few remaining players to argue about it. The sad thing is, it was a fun game. > use it to its greatest extent. I live in rural Georgia and the only > thing that keeps me up in the Magic community is the dojo. They will be in a few weeks, butonly after the person who designed it wins the tournament that it was designed for. It is the same as what happens with the Duelist ... where the deck just published is already obsolete. In the Duelist, the deck has been obsolete for three months. On the Dojo, it has been obsolete for three days. > people that are on teams and go to several events a year take for > granted the resources you have around you and then you have the nerve to > blame the dojo for your problems. Although people complain about the Dojo and decklists, I strongly doubt that it will die before Frank K. decides to quit Magic altogether. Even if he does, someone else will step into the space he vacates. > ever meet you if that ever happened, because it wouldn't be a pretty > sight. This is just a game and we play for the fun of The things we do now are the precidents for next year. Allow cheating once, it will be much more difficult to punish next time. Suspicious activity and events (such as Mr. Long's at Origins) give others ideas of how they can twist the system ... and take my money without earning it. The sad thing is that Mike Long is the O.J. Simpson of Magic. He is officially "not guilty" while condemned by most of the public as "guilty". It is immaterial to me, since I doubt I will ever play him a game of Magic ... Cheating is part of life, so You have a point, here. It would be nice to see what other people thing are the good things about Magic. However, human nature is such that people get fired up about the things that make them angry ... not about the things that make them joyous. > don't be so surprised when it happens, broken cards are made to put some > life into the game, and last but not least, the dojo is the greatest > place on the internet and don't ever think about censoring it again! > > in the eyes of the world, > the greatest scrub, > clint swymer > > Feel free to make and snoody comments that you may have at > bulldawg98@hotmail.com. Too late. I made my snide comment at the top of this message here on the Dojo ... - - - - - - - Personally, I do not always agree with Cathy Nicoloff, but she had been dead-on about pointing out the issues that need some attention. Keep up the good work, Cathy! Russ Billings
