Subject: Issues: Byes for High ranking players?!?!?

 John again..... um lets' think about Byes and why they are REDICULOUS!
 Someone has a great ranking implying they are very good players...... then
 why the hell do they need free games in the big tourney's?  Here's a
couple
 of maybe reasons:

 1) Wizards REALLY wants to make NAME players larger than life so they can
 increase thier advertising using these people like in the Cheesy MTV
 commercials?

 2) The best players NEED protection from mana screw and such so they can
 stay on top and have a little barrier against the "common" man?

 3) It's actually a global conspiracy to drive me nuts?

 Seriously.....  Byes are a silly idea and I can't see why Great players
 need them.  It is not really sportsman like for me or you to have to get
up
 way early, strain our brains for 3 hours playing, and then have to face
 someone just coming in off of 3 byes fresh well-fed and ready to win.
 Hello?!?!?  What do you all think?
